Abou Ben Adhem was
curious to know that
an angel came in his room and writing in a golden book. When he asked the angle
“what are you writing”? The
Vision replied that he
was writing the name of those men who love the god. Ben Adhem requested the Angel to write his name in the golden book. When the latter visited him again it
showed names written in the book and Ben Adhem found that his name was written in the golden book
at the top.

Ans. The central message of the poem is that God blesses
and loves those people who love and serve their fellowmen. If one wants to please
God , one must please one’s fellow men.
